The Machine Learning Engineer will analyze internet advertising data, implements models and algorithms working with data scientists to optimize for price, performance and delivery.  Using best solution for the problem as guiding principle, work on data mining, data visualization, rules and supervised /unsupervised machine learning. The data comes from several different sources – Display, Video, Mobile, Social, the challenge is to make sense of data, develop data intelligence for action in real time.

Responsibilities:

  • As a member of Data Science team, Perform data mining/machine learning tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, recommendations and text analysis;
  • Design and develop high quality software implementing bidding algorithms working along with Data Scientists

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Masters in Computer Science with machine learning, data mining focus
  • 3+ years of software development experience in Java, C++, NoSql, Python
  • Thorough understanding of data structure and algorithms
  • Knowledge of distributed system architectures
  • Experience with mid to large scale coding projects that utilize multiple developers and a set release schedule, using techniques and tools for bug tracking, code reviews, unit testing, and version control
  • Proficiency with implementing machine learning libraries such as R, MLib, etc.
  • Experience in real-world data analysis

Controller – Boston, Massachusetts

Currently seeking a dynamic Controller to oversee accounting and financial reporting operations for a growing AdTech company conveniently located near North Station and Boston’s historic North End.  Reporting to the company’s Chief Financial Officer the Controller will be responsible for and be involved with the monthly and annual close, annual external audit, intercompany activities and invoicing, account reconciliations, payroll, investor reporting, technical accounting, financial planning and analysis, contracting and legal reviews, as well as various ad-hoc requests as needed.  The Controller will oversee a staff of two, be hands-on and detail-oriented yet able to coach and develop the team.  This position will be highly visible to all levels of management including the company’s board of directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.

Skills and Experience:

  • 8-10 years professional experience, combination of public and corporate accounting, with advertising/technology sector experience given preference.
  • 2-4 years management experience supervising staff of 2, minimum
  • B.S. Degree in Accounting
  • CPA/MBA preferred, not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-level daily activities involved in ad campaigns, including reporting, optimization, analytics, billing/budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Create proposals for advertisers, working with agencies and clients to develop online solutions.
  • Act as client liaison, providing service around live campaigns, technical issues, and performance goals.

Account Manager – Boston, Massachusetts

Reporting into the Supervisor of the Account Managers, the Account Manager supports the agency sales efforts and on-going account maintenance.  This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day management of agency clients on the East Coast. This position also collaborates with the assigned Ad Operations team to aid in the day-to-day operations, client deliverables, relationship management, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Review proposals submitted from the AdOps team to ensure that all the client’s requests are addressed
  • Work with internal teams to oversee and monitor ongoing campaign performance, ensuring campaigns are executed properly and according to client expectations
  • Coordinate and send client deliverables
  • Example – client reports: coordinate data delivery from product & ops teams, pull additional data from Digilant system, compile and format reports.
  • Facilitate and lead internal campaign status meetings and help schedule client calls.
  • Manage client order administrative processing.
  • Assist with formatting and design of internal and external presentations (typically in PowerPoint).
  • Foster relationships with both agency clients and vendors
  • Accompany Sales on external meetings and presentations when applicable
  • Support Supervisor & Director in responding to client requests and special projects as necessary
  • Facilitate and lead internal campaign status meetings
  • Manage timelines and coordination of resources for deliverables owned, i.e. client wrap-up reports.  Ensure deliverables are aligned and implemented across all teams to meet client’s goals and objectives
  • Assist with the on-boarding and training of new hires, support the account team in responding to client requests and special projects as necessary.

  • Expert or research-level experience designing statistical and/or machine learning methods, as demonstrated by publications in premier research conferences, journals and/or high-impact machine learning applications
  • Thorough understanding of data structure and algorithms
  • Knowledge of distributed system architectures

Senior Engineer – Boston, Massachusetts

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop software using Java, C++ and Big Data technologies like Hdoop/EMR, Redshift
  • Design and develop insights, algorithms using open source software like Apache Mahout, Lucene
  • Working with a small team of engineers who manages big data using AWS EMR, RedShift
  • Design and Develop data management using most recent technologies like Hadoop, Hbase, and provide direction to the team
  • Design and develop data aggregation like ETL, Reporting, using Java, C++, Python, SQL, EMR and RedShift
  • Design and develop data analytics presentation layers using softwares like Sportfire, D3, Gephi
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow to adapt to new hardware
  • As a senior engineer, be the hands-on lead engineer for some projects
  • Work closely with product management to deliver in alignment with data management vision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases, various data warehousing and analytical architectures
  • 5+ years of experience building data warehousing or analytics solutions is preferred
  • 2+  years of experience with large scale distributed clusters using Hadoop, Hbase, Hive, Ooize, MapReduce
  • Experience with Amazon web services: EC2, S3, EMR
  • Expertise in Java and C++ Programming
  • Proven experience taking a concept and building a fielded, maintainable product
  • Extensive experience in engineering design and agile process
  • Demonstrated success in a performance-critical environment
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Commitment to producing top quality, well designed and flexible software
  • A collaborative work style and the ability to function well in small teams with a minimum of oversight
